The interactive map below shows how each state ranks in terms of overall levels of gun violence. These rankings were based on an analysis of 10 categories of gun violence across all 50 states, which is described in detail in “America Under Fire: An Analysis of Gun Violence in the United States and the Link to Weak Gun Laws.” Click on a state to download a fact sheet about gun violence in that state.
