On April 10, 2025, the Center for American Progress submitted a comment letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in response to the proposed Marketplace Integrity and Affordability rule. In the letter, CAP strongly opposes changes that would increase out-of-pocket costs, reduce coverage value, and limit access to marketplace coverage for millions of Americans. CAP urges CMS to withdraw these harmful provisions and instead focus on policies that protect access and affordability.
