AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT: CAP Experts on President Obama’s European Travel

Washington, D.C.—CAP experts will be available for comment on President Barack Obama’s travel in Europe this week to include meetings in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Poland, and France. The president is expected to deliver a speech on U.S.-European relations in the United Kingdom, participate in the G-8 summit in France, and attend meetings in Poland with Central European leaders. The focus of these meetings will be to discuss enhancing our cooperation with our European allies to further shared goals—including joint efforts to combat terrorism, signal support for democratic movements across the Middle East, and foster greater economic prosperity. The following CAP experts will be available:

  • Rudy DeLeon, former Deputy Secretary of Defense, Senior Vice President of National Security and International Policy at CAP

  • Samuel Charap, Director for Russia and Eurasia (to be on the ground in Warsaw)
