ADVISORY: Supreme Court Litigator Paul Smith to Discuss Why Courts Matter for LGBT Issues

Washington, D.C. — On July 9, Supreme Court litigator Paul Smith will join Praveen Fernandes of Justice at Stake, Maya Rupert of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and CAP Legal Progress experts for a discussion of what’s at stake in the courts for the LGBT community. In particular, they will examine the implications of Lawrence v. Texas for today’s legal challenges involving LGBT Americans. This will be the second event in the ongoing CAP series, "Why Courts Matter."
