ADVISORY: The Next 30 Years: Political and Policy Implications of Changing Demographics in the United States

Washington, D.C. — On Tuesday, October 22, the Center for American Progress will host a panel of experts to discuss a new nationwide public opinion poll that will be released by the Center for American Progress and PolicyLink in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation. America’s demographic changes—its possibilities and its challenges—are the subject of a new nationwide public opinion poll that will be released by the Center for American Progress and PolicyLink  in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation. The poll covered questions such as the role of government, openness to diversity, inequality, and level of support for equitable policies.

One of the largest of its kind, the poll interviewed people in five languages including oversamples of African Americans, Latinos, and Asians. This breadth and depth allows for a much clearer picture of how Americans are reacting to demographic trends than previous surveys.
