New polling data will reveal attitudes of Nevada Hispanic and African American women about family economic security policies—such as child care, paid leave and paid sick days, and equal pay.

Las Vegas — Millions of working parents in Nevada struggle to raise their families in an economy that is missing key work-family policies that promote economic security and stability. Ahead of the Nevada primary on June 14, the Center for American Progress and Make it Work will host a news conference and discussion with Sharie Johnson, reporter from 8 News NOW and a parent ambassador from Make it Work urging all candidates to make high-quality child care a top priority.

The event will bring parents, grassroots advocates, and legislators together to unveil new polling data on the attitudes of Nevada Hispanic and African American women about family economic security policies, including equal pay, paid family leave and paid sick days.
