Seeing Justin Trudeau lead the Liberal Party in Canada to victory with a focus on investing in Canadians and embracing diversity shows progressives that what we fight for every day can bring political success. In contrast to conservatives’ focus on austerity and cultural divisiveness, progressive policies are right for everyday people and a winning message. I would like to congratulate Mr. Trudeau and the Liberal Party for proudly carrying the progressive banner in Canada, and I look forward to seeing them put these ideals and ideas into practice for the Canadian people.
