Washington, D.C. — Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) ), Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI), and Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) will join the Center for American Progress for a policy summit focused on solutions to the housing shortage and lowering housing costs as part of a broader agenda to make life more affordable for every American.
The event will bring together these senators and leading housing and economic experts to discuss bold, practical ideas to close the housing supply gap and ease pressure on household budgets. The conversation will highlight solutions, informed partly by the Center for American Progress’ new housing agenda, including expanding rental relief, removing barriers to building more affordable homes, and protecting consumers from abusive practices in the housing market.
