AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT: CAP Experts on Administration’s Pledge of New Contributions to Climate Risk Insurance Initiatives
Washington, D.C. — This morning, President Barack Obama announced that tomorrow the United States will pledge new contributions to climate risk insurance initiatives that help vulnerable countries respond to and recover from extreme weather. The Center for American Progress has done a great deal of research on and analysis of risk insurance and its role in international climate negotiations.
