Washington, D.C. — Just two days ago in Paris, 195 countries reached an historic international climate agreement. This agreement constitutes a critical step forward in global efforts to meet the climate challenge and establishes a framework for international action for years to come. The Center for American Progress will host Special Envoy Todd D. Stern—the top U.S. climate diplomat and its chief negotiator—to hear his singular insights into the negotiating dynamics on the ground, the outcomes of the conference, and what the agreement means for the future of U.S. and international efforts to combat climate change.
