ADVISORY: CAP to Host U.S. Chief of Naval Operations Admiral John Richardson for Discussion on Naval Strategy in Asia and the Arctic
Washington, D.C. — The Center for American Progress will host Chief of Naval Operations Admiral John M. Richardson for a discussion on the current and future challenges of U.S. strategies in the Asia-Pacific and Arctic regions. Admiral Richardson will offer his regional assessment of the immediate security issues capturing Washington’s attention. The discussion will delve further into long-term strategic trends and challenges, including the implications of emerging technologies on the U.S. presence in those regions and how the U.S. Navy is planning for an increasingly contested Arctic region.
