By the end of its term, the Supreme Court will issue rulings that will have broad impacts on American society. The cases it is set to rule on deal with the continued separation of church and state, whether the government can prohibit groups from receiving desired medical treatment, the ability of the disabled community to sue to enforce the rights of its members, the ability of lower courts to issue nationwide injunctions, and the application of due process to people in the United States, among other important legal questions.
You’re invited to join the Center for American Progress for a virtual event that will preview the end of the 2024-25 Supreme Court term. Our esteemed panelists will preview the cases yet to be decided, parse the bigger decisions that have already been handed down, and tackle the myriad of cases moving through the emergency motions—or “shadow docket”—as the administration seeks rapid Supreme Court approval to implement challenged policies.
