Live Webcast: Making Sense of the Health Care Reform Debate

12:00 - 1:30 PM EDT

Health care reform was a deciding issue in the 2008 elections. But even though the White House and Congress both agree that health care reform is a top priority today, it has once again turned into a quagmire with no guaranteed outcome.

At an upcoming Business Leaders for Sensible Priorities event the Center for American Progress’ health care experts will give an overview of the current debate, outline the impact of various proposals on both large and small businesses, and examine the role non-health care industry businesses are playing in the debate. As a webcast participant, you will have the opportunity to call in with questions and comments.

CAP’s Peter Harbage and Igor Volsky will lead this discussion. Harbage is a CAP Fellow and lecturer at the University of Southern California’s School of Policy, Planning and Development Health Care. Volsky is a Researcher/Blogger for and co-author of the book Howard Dean’s Prescription for Real Health Care Reform.
