The Trump administration recently announced that it is terminating Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an Obama-era initiative that has shielded nearly 800,000 young people from deportation. The announcement came as the administration continues to pursue efforts to force state and local officials to cooperate in federal immigration enforcement functions.
