Harvey Weinstein, Rocket Man, and the NRA

This week, Michele and Igor are joined by Hollywood producer Scott Budnick and Sen. Chris Murphy.

Hollywood producer Scott Budnick tells Michele and Igor what he really thinks about the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault scandal. Then, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) joins Michele and Igor to digest President Donald Trump’s intention to decertify the Iran deal this week and to respond to the mass shooting last week in Las Vegas. Murphy says members of Congress who are unwilling to act to pass legislation are complicit in gun-related deaths in this country.

Public Safety

Protecting people from crime is one of the government’s most fundamental and urgent responsibilities. However, the current reality is that too many crimes go unsolved and too many victims lack justice. The Center for American Progress is committed to advancing evidence-based policies that keep individuals safe by solving crime when it happens, ensuring swift and certain accountability for those who harm others, and preventing crime in the first place.
