Pipeline Call: Reforming Our Tax System, Reducing Our Deficit

2:00 - 3:00 PM EST

Please join us for our December Pipeline Call with:

Michael Ettlinger

Vice President, Economic Policy
Center for American Progress

Seth Hanlon
Director, Fiscal Reform
Center for American Progress

This call will provide a discussion on the fiscal showdown and CAP’s tax plan, which represents a more progressive and sensible approach to tax reform that would protect the middle class.

As Congress faces key decisions on taxes, jobs, and deficits in the looming fiscal showdown, CAP has developed big ideas to provide solutions and move America forward.

Working with Roger Altman, William Daley, Robert Rubin, Leslie Samuels, Lawrence Summers, and Antonio Weiss, CAP has developed a tax plan that would raise significant revenues from upper-income Americans, reduce tax preferences for investments, and transform “upside-down” deductions into flat credits.

The American Progress’ Pipeline Call series gives you insight into our multipronged policy solutions that work to further the progressive movement. Learn more about our work and engage with us as we continue to set the agenda for the progressive policy solutions that frame the national debate this year and beyond.

We hope you can join us for this informative call, and we look forward to a lively discussion with you on Tuesday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. EST. You may submit a question to Michael Ettlinger and Seth Hanlon by sending it to [email protected] with the subject line "Pipeline Question."

You will then receive an email confirmation shortly after you RSVP with instructions on how to call in.
