Congressional Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) will increase the costs of basic necessities such as health care, utilities, and groceries. The legislation is also making it more expensive for everyday Americans to borrow money to buy a car or get a mortgage for a home. Combined with the effects of President Donald Trump’s tariffs, this legislation is a direct threat to families’ personal finances and the strength of the U.S. economy.
