Mishka Espey is an associate director of media relations at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Espey’s career spanned more than a decade of experience in the news and legal realms. Most recently, they spent a year reporting on education for Maryland-based news outlet MoCo360. They hold a master’s degree in journalism and public affairs from American University and a bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State University. A chronic bookworm, Espey also enjoys catching local concerts and adventuring around Washington, D.C., with friends.
