Ciel Smith is a legal assistant at American Progress. Prior to joining the Legal team, she interned with the Rural Urban Bridge Initiative, a nonprofit based in her native region of Appalachia. After graduating from American University, she also interned at the American Enterprise Institute’s Center on Opportunity and Social Mobility. Outside of work, Smith enjoys solo hiking, reading, and spending time with her cats.
