Murphy Burke is the director of digital engagement for the Digital Advocacy team at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she served as press secretary for NextGen Iowa, turning out young voters for the 2020 election.

Burke holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Western Kentucky University, where she picked up an affinity for saying “y’all,” despite living in the Midwest for most of her life.
