Our country’s growing diversity means that our electorate is more diverse than ever before — and women of color will have an increasingly powerful role to play this November.
Women of color represent 74 percent of newly eligible women voters in the United States since 2000. In 2012, African-American women between the ages of 18 and 29 had the highest voter turnout in the country, and they will remain among the greatest forces in our electorate in 2016.
