RESCHEDULED: For International Women’s Day, CAP to Host All-Star Panel to Discuss Global Commitments to Women and Girls

Washington, D.C. – This year is the 20th anniversary of the historic U.N. Fourth World Conference on Women. Following International Women’s Day, the Center for American Progress and Vital Voices Global Partnership are convening leaders from around the world and here at home on Thursday, March 19, to consider the progress made since 1995, the unfinished business that remains, and the significant opportunity that 2015 holds.

With the current Millennium Development Goals set to expire and the 20th anniversary of the U.N. Fourth World Conference on Women, 2015 is a milestone year for the global women’s movement. Major multilateral agreements are expected this year, making it an exceptional opportunity to place bold and concrete policies to empower women and girls front and center.
