ADVISORY: A.G. Lynch, Sec. Perez, Sec. Castro, and Sec. King Discuss Reentry and the Road Home at CAP Event

Washington, D.C. — On Friday, June 24, the Center for American Progress will host an exclusive conversation on criminal justice with U.S. Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch, U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez, U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro, and U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. These distinguished panelists will discuss new and existing programs and initiatives by each of their agencies that are aimed at addressing the importance of reentry—supporting the transition that formerly incarcerated individuals experience as they return to life in their communities upon release and ensuring a second chance for people with criminal records and their families.

The event will be moderated by Daryl Atkinson, a Second Chance Fellow at the U.S. Department of Justice, with an introduction by Carmel Martin, Senior Vice President for Policy at the Center for American Progress.
