Washington, D.C. — Today, the Center for American Progress will join a broad coalition of labor, civil rights, faith and anti-poverty progressive leaders and members of Congress for a Hands Off press conference to denounce the destructive cuts to basic living standards in President Donald Trump’s budget. In response to the terrible Trump administration budget, the Hands Off campaign launched as a dedicated coalition aimed at stopping damaging budget cuts to health care, disability benefits, nutrition assistance, and other programs that ensure basic living standards.
