Restoring Social Trust in Democracy
Washington, D.C. — After the attack on Jewish demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, Neera Tanden, president and CEO of the Center for American Progress, issued the following statement:
I want to extend my deepest sympathy to all victims affected by the horrific terrorist attack in Boulder. This targeted attack on Jewish community members as they walked to draw attention to the Israeli hostages in Gaza is reprehensible and unacceptable. Political violence and antisemitism have no place in American society. We cannot allow this rising tide of violence against Jewish communities in the United States and other countries to continue, and we must be vigilant in standing for freedom of peaceful assembly for all.
