Tell Congress: Safeguard America’s Public Lands from Trump, Musk, and Big Oil and Gas Special Interests
President Donald Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are putting oil and gas industry executives and their close allies in charge of America’s public lands, clearing a path for pollution and corporate exploitation.
They are indiscriminately purging park rangers, scientists, and other public lands experts from the federal workforce despite America’s national parks being more popular than ever. Days after the staff firings, park visitors are already feeling the effects—including trail and visitor center closures, interpretive tour cancellations, and shortened park operating hours.
The Trump administration’s actions to eliminate environmental protections threaten water quality, at-risk wildlife, recreation-based businesses, and much more, while oil and gas industry special interests shift remaining government resources to prioritize corporate profits at the expense of Americans.
Congress must take immediate action to safeguard America’s public lands from corporate greed. Tell your representatives to oppose the Trump administration’s efforts to fire the protectors of America’s public lands and sell out the country’s natural treasures to the oil and gas industry.
