Tell Congress: Safeguard America’s Public Lands From Corporate Greed
America’s national parks and public lands are at risk. Even after public outrage forced Senate Republicans to abandon their plans to sell millions of acres of public lands, the Trump administration is moving ahead with actions to sell out America’s public lands to the highest bidder. By clearing a path for pollution and corporate exploitation, the administration is putting beloved places, local economies, and future travel plans in jeopardy.
In a few short months, the administration has advanced a multifront attack on national public lands. It has indiscriminately purged park rangers, scientists, and other public lands experts from the federal workforce, and it is now trying to expand mining, drilling, and logging for profit.
The Trump administration’s actions to eliminate environmental protections threaten water quality, at-risk wildlife, recreation-based businesses, and much more, while oil and gas industry special interests shift remaining government resources to prioritize corporate profits at the expense of Americans.
Congress must take immediate action to safeguard America’s public lands from corporate greed. Tell your representatives to oppose the Trump administration’s efforts to fire the protectors of America’s public lands and sell out the country’s natural treasures to the oil and gas industry.
