EVENT ADVISORY: SEC Acting Chair Allison Herren Lee To Speak on Environmental, Social, and Governance Regulations

Washington, D.C. — Investor interest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues has translated into a surge in demand for ESG-related information. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is taking a holistic look at how climate and ESG issues are integral to its work. The agency is moving ahead with efforts across its offices and divisions to account for the ways in which climate and ESG intersect with its regulatory framework. In the past few months, the agency has taken important steps forward and is actively laying the groundwork for more progress to come.

Please join the Center for American Progress and SEC acting Chair Allison Herren Lee to discuss the commission’s current efforts to bring climate and ESG issues to the forefront of its work.
