Washington, D.C. — On Friday, the Center for American Progress will kick off a new five-week online event series exploring five key issue areas that a new public education agenda should include. Each Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET, from September 18 to October 16, experts from across the education field will discuss how to build a racially diverse teaching workforce; how to help students and young adults recover from the coronavirus crisis; the need for youth voices in education policymaking; how to improve education and workforce outcomes for LGBTQ youth; and how a major new federal investment can increase equity in education and opportunity.
