Washington, D.C. — The coronavirus—which causes the disease COVID-19—is now a global pandemic with huge impacts on every aspect of life. In the United States, differing accounts of severity of the crisis and what actions should be taken are coming from the president, Congress, federal agencies, governors, and local authorities, which is contributing to the spread of misinformation and putting everyone at increased risk.
Please join the Center for American Progress on Thursday, March 26, for an online event focusing on the state of play in the fight against COVID-19. CAP experts in health, economic, and national security policy will draw on their years of experience to share where we are as a nation and a global community; explain what steps federal, state, and local governments are and should be taking to help flatten the curve; and answer your questions about this pandemic.
