PRESS CALL ADVISORY: State Insurance Commissioners to Discuss Immediate Harm Caused By Health Care Repeal Lawsuit

Washington, D.C. — Today, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling in the health care repeal lawsuit, striking down the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) individual mandate and remanding the case back to the North Texas District Court for further review of the severability of the law’s other provisions. The ACA has improved the health and financial security of tens of millions of Americans—including 135 million nonelderly Americans with preexisting conditions.
