PRESS CALL ADVISORY: Rep. Jim Himes and Leading Experts to Discuss Impact of Revelations in Trump Impeachment Hearings to U.S. National Security

Washington, D.C. — After two weeks of public testimony in the House impeachment inquiry, it is clearer than ever that President Donald Trump abused his power to bribe and extort the Ukrainian government into investigating a political rival. Aside from being an impeachable offense, Trump’s misuse of American foreign policy has also inflicted tremendous damage on U.S. national security interests and the nation’s standing in the world.

On Monday, November 25 at 1:15 p.m. ET, Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) and leading national security experts at the Center for American Progress, National Security Action, and Third Way will host a news conference call to discuss the broader implications of the testimony so far in the impeachment hearings and how the actions at the center of this saga have left the United States more vulnerable.
