Martha’s Vineyard, MA — On Monday, August 14, 2017, the Center for American Progress and Progress 2050 will host an exclusive conversation on the power of the black media and journalists during the Trump administration, featuring a panel of distinguished guests that include Jamelle Bouie, chief political correspondent at Slate Magazine; Joe Madison, host of the Joe Madison Show on SiriusXM Urban View; Denise Rolark Barnes, publisher of the Washington Informer; and Yamiche Alcindor, national politics and social justice reporter for The New York Times. The panel will be moderated by Jason Johnson, professor, politics editor at The Root, and an MSNBC contributor.
As part of an ongoing CAP series that focuses on race, the conversation will center around highlighting the importance of black media and uplifting the voices of black journalists during the Trump administration.
