MEDIA CALL ADVISORY: What the Affordable Care Act Means for Minority-Owned Small Businesses

Washington, D.C.—The Affordable Care Act has a number of provisions that will benefit minority-owned small businesses; yet there are few facts in one place for small business owners who are trying to reap those benefits. The ACA provides significant help to put health care within reach for more small business owners and their employees.

Join the Center for American Progress on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. to discuss the challenges in various ethnic communities for small business owners trying to access the specific benefits in the Affordable Care Act. CAP will also release five new fact sheets focusing on how the ACA will help small businesses owned by Hispanics, African Americans, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Pacific Islanders, and Asian Americans.
