Don Wolford is the stories manager for the Advocacy and Outreach department at American Progress, where he works to find and amplify the stories of people who have been impacted by public policy successes and failures. Prior to joining American Progress, Wolford served as an associate for the political column and resource site DemList, managing projects such as the organization’s 2021 presidential inaugural calendar. Wolford previously worked on the 2018 campaign of health care advocate and former state Rep. Randi Clites (D-OH).

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Wolford holds a B.A. in political science from Kent State University, where he served as the chief of staff of the undergraduate student government. His major initiatives included lobbying the Ohio state legislature for greater mental health funding, studying gender equity in campus athletics, and expanding free online tutoring services.
