Zahir Rasheed is a research and press assistant with the Center for American Progress. A northern Virginia native, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in public administration from George Mason University, where he is also currently completing a master’s degree in public policy. He has worked on numerous campaigns in Virginia, including the 2017 governor’s race, Sen. Tim Kaine’s (D-VA) Senate race in 2018, and a local board of supervisor’s race in 2019, before joining CAP as an intern and now research assistant in 2020.
