David Ballard is the field advocacy and outreach manager for the Poverty to Prosperity Program at American Progress. Before joining American Progress, Ballard was a field organizer on political campaigns and worked in marketing for nonprofits. An Orlando, Florida, native, Ballard graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism, where he studied telecommunications.
