Alex Witt is the senior director of strategic partnerships for the Advocacy team at American Progress. Before joining American Progress, she served as chief of staff for communications, digital, policy, and research on Sen. Cory Booker’s (D-NJ) presidential campaign—one of the first integrated media and message teams on a presidential campaign.
Witt’s experience includes helping political candidates, nonprofits, and private corporations raise money, mobilize voters, and share their stories at Bully Pulpit Interactive; serving as digital director for Gov. Ralph Northam’s (D-VA) gubernatorial campaign; and working as a senior social media strategist at Hillary for America. Witt got her start on the content team at the Democratic National Committee.
A Missouri native, Witt is a graduate of Truman State University and the London School of Economics. In her free time, you can find her scouting a bad dive bar, road-tripping to a Dolly Parton soundtrack, or whispering encouraging thoughts to her tomato plants.
