Caroline Medina is a senior policy analyst for the LGBTQI+ Research and Communications Project at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Medina worked for the Massachusetts Legislature as a legislative director and chief of staff, where she maintained a portfolio of bills tied to public health, criminal justice reform, and LGBTQ rights. Medina specializes in qualitative and quantitative analysis of LGBTQ policies that takes an intersectional approach and most recently engaged in research for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s report on LGBTI inclusion.
Medina holds a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and a master’s degree in public administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she focused on public economic and social policy.
