Brian McBride is the director of content strategy for the Digital Advocacy team at American Progress. Before joining the organization, he developed advertising campaigns for President Joe Biden’s super PAC, Priorities USA.

As an experienced content and communications strategist for Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary Hillary Clinton, and the Human Rights Campaign, McBride has a proven record of using storytelling to help political candidates and progressive organizations engage with diverse audiences and energize voters.

A Los Angeles native, McBride’s career began in journalism. His work expands across national and international newsrooms, having served as a reporter and producer for ABC News, CBSN, CNN, and CNN International. He is a proud graduate of Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
