Prior to joining American Progress, Hananel was a reporter at the Associated Press in Washington, where he covered beats including the U.S. Supreme Court, Congress, and labor.
A native of New Orleans, Hananel received his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a law degree from Tulane University.
