Juli Adhikari is a policy and advocacy manager for the Women’s Initiative at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Adhikari was a fellow at the American Constitution Society, where she focused on using audience engagement data to advance issue campaigns. As the former vice chair for the Commission on the Status of Women for the city of Berkeley, California, she helped pass the city’s first supplemental paid family leave and equal pay legislations. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in political science and gender and women’s studies. She is a native of both Kathmandu, Nepal, and Sacramento, California.
