On June 12, 2016, a lone gunman entered the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, and started shooting. The attack, which killed 49 people, was the worst mass shooting in American history, and the worst crime against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Americans ever committed.
