A Win for Workers, Climate, and Communities

Electric Vehicle Investments With Labor Standards

This video tells the story of Frank, who, after being released from prison, joined the IBEW and built a career as an electrician focusing on electric vehicle chargers.

After his release from prison, Frank had difficulty finding work. But since joining the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), he has built a career as a certified electrician installing chargers for electric vehicles. Frank’s story shows how major federal investments in electric vehicles and their chargers—linked with critical labor standards—will create high-quality union jobs, advance equity and justice, and reduce air and carbon pollution to combat the climate crisis.

Tell Congress: Invest in Clean Energy

Congress must pass the Build Back Better agenda, which makes major federal investments in clean energy infrastructure.
