President Donald Trump has launched an unprecedented attack on America’s national parks, public lands, and oceans. The U.S. Department of the Interior, led by Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, is considering eliminating or shrinking at least 27 national monuments established by presidents from both parties since 1996. The Department of the Interior has opened a public comment period, where members of the public can tell Secretary Zinke and President Trump that they oppose efforts to eliminate or shrink national monuments.
