Recently, CAP’s Doing What Works team partnered with McKinsey & Company to research “what works” in improving performance in federal departments and agencies. Building upon McKinsey’s extensive knowledge of successful and unsuccessful improvement programs across multiple industries and sectors, the study identified government organizations that have reached for a performance breakthrough—and then made the breakthrough stick.
