Stem Cell Sense and Nonsense

Jonathan Moreno and Sam Berger respond to Eric Cohen’s recent National Review article, “Stem-Cell Sense,” in which Cohen argues in favor of President Bush’s stem cell policy. Moreno and Berger question Cohen’s research, arguing that Cohen misstates conclusions from research studies and ignores important data in his effort to discredit embryonic stem cell proponents. As Moreno and Berger claim, “Whatever the merits of embryonic-stem-cell research prove to be, the debate has verified one proposition: politicized discussions of scientific issues are likely to end in hyperbole.”
