CAP and ECE Organizing Network Launch Grassroots Movement for Child Care and Early Education Website

The Movement for Child Care comprises diverse national organizations across the country that are committed to expanding affordable child care and early education.

The Grassroots Movement for Child Care and Early Education is a movement of families, early educators, and allies coordinated by the ECE Organizing Network, a network of diverse national organizations working on child care and early education policy across the country. The need for affordable, quality child care and early education options becomes greater every year—and the COVID-19 pandemic only further exacerbated the child care crisis—revealing the importance of care and the lack of adequate public support that led to many providers being forced to close their doors. The ECE Organizing Network comprises groups united by a commitment to a shared economic, racial, and gender justice lens and the use of grassroots organizing to expand affordable, quality child care and early education.
