Holiday season is the perfect time to reconnect with family and friends, enjoy good food and avoid talking about work. Unfortunately for those of us in the education policy world, there’s no escaping the series of questions from your well-meaning relative who read something on the internet recently about those terrible charter schools that steal money from other schools, or about how kids are all Communists now because of the Common Core.
