Things LGBTQ People Need to Watch Out for in the Congressional GOP’s Tax Plan

Author Shabab Ahmed Mirza explains five ways Congress' tax plans would hurt LGBTQ people.

House Republicans just passed a tax plan that would give massive tax breaks to corporations and the richest Americans, while many students, parents, and middle-class families would be worse off. Just one of the massive tax cuts for millionaires would be enough to buy everyone in America a Shetland pony. The Senate’s current bill would permanently raise taxes on individuals and families after 2025 to pay for permanent corporate tax cuts.  Here are five ways the congressional tax plan would hurt LGBTQ people in particular:
